About The Position

HUNTER is searching for an Account Executive for our Home team. This role plays an important part in the execution and management of client projects, including media outreach, interfacing with client representatives, and supervising team members. The Account Executive will manage client PR projects, understand the resources and tools needed to achieve marketing/PR objectives, and coordinate internal and external resources. They will advise team members on developments, proactively update the team on status, and make recommendations for meeting client needs. The role also involves planning and managing logistics for client press events, serving as a representative on-site, and being conscious of client program budgets, keeping time and expenses on track. The Account Executive will attend client calls and meetings, accommodate and anticipate client needs, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Additionally, they will conduct traditional and social media relations outreach, draft and edit press materials, engage with reporters and bloggers, secure media placements, and build relationships with media contacts. The role includes reviewing program results for analysis, assisting in the development of creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs, and participating in agency brainstorm sessions. The Account Executive will also develop strategic/creative thinking skills, participate in agency committees, projects, and events, and assist in the creation of new business presentations. They will develop and foster relationships with suppliers and assist with account administration tasks such as compiling media coverage reports and coordinating client meetings.

Requirements

  • B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends, and use the information to inform interactions and program development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple accounts
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and actively communicate progress and deliverables (i.e. time management)
  • Ability to travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
  • Demonstrate solid writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients

Responsibilities

  • Manage client PR projects

  • Assist with account administration tasks, as needed, such as compilation of media coverage reports, coordination and set-up of client meetings, product shipments, etc.
