About The Position

Brilliant Agency, a respected and growing agency focused on family-oriented brands, is seeking a full-time Account Executive to support its award-winning full-funnel marketing team. The agency operates remotely across the US and emphasizes a strong sense of community through virtual events and connection. Brilliant specializes in PR for consumer lifestyle brands, particularly those targeting families, including baby and maternity, toys, tech, housewares, and food/beverages. This role requires a candidate with at least 2 years of agency experience in consumer products PR or integrated marketing, strong project management skills, and an interest in new technology and AI. The candidate must be based in the NYC/New Jersey Tri-State Area.

Requirements

  • Based in the NYC/New Jersey Tri State Area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of PR agency experience in the consumer goods industry.
  • Demonstrated project management experience managing timelines, deliverables, and multiple accounts at once.
  • Comfortable using AI tools day to day, with examples of how you've used them.
  • A real willingness to try new technologies and adopt new tools quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for staying ahead of trends.

Responsibilities

  • Execute public relations strategies to achieve client goals.
  • Manage projects, ensuring they are organized, on time, and on track.
  • Handle day-to-day client communication.
  • Engage in media relations, including curating media contact databases, discovering editorial leads, composing and distributing pitches, and monitoring for earned placements.
  • Generate innovative story angles for national publications.
  • Lead specialized affiliate and commerce-focused outreach.
  • Organize press interviews and prepare briefing materials.
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists and content creators.
  • Stay updated on industry shifts and track competitor visibility.
  • Oversee client recognition programs through research, strategic advice, and deadline management.
  • Manage campaign timelines and ensure account milestones are met.
  • Develop project roadmaps, identify potential bottlenecks, and establish key goals.
  • Monitor budgets and team duties, providing updates to stakeholders and clients.
  • Utilize organizational tools like Monday or Asana for workflow transparency.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration for seamless deliverable execution.
  • Integrate AI technologies (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for drafting, reporting, and research.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging software solutions, educating the team on best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve output quality.
  • Support the conceptualization and launch of virtual or in-person press events.
