About The Position

UWorld is expanding its B2B sales organization and is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Account Executive to help grow its Accounting & Finance Education business throughout the Northeast. This role involves business development and territory building, where the individual will identify new organizations, establish connections with decision-makers, forge strategic partnerships, and cultivate long-term revenue opportunities. The Account Executive will represent UWorld's Accounting & Finance Review products (CPA, CMA, CIA, and CFA exam preparation) and build partnerships with universities, CPA firms, corporations, professional organizations, and accounting professionals. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who excels at prospecting, building relationships from scratch, navigating complex organizations, presenting to executives, and closing new business. The role offers significant territory ownership and the chance to influence UWorld's expansion in the accounting and finance education market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales, business development, account management, recruiting, university partnership, professional services, or related client-facing experience.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business and consistently achieving performance goals.
  • Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, develop relationships, and close business.
  • Experience selling to multiple stakeholders within complex organizations.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a multi-state territory and prioritize opportunities.
  • Highly motivated, organized, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must reside in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for a multi-state Northeast territory.
  • Build a pipeline of new business through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, events, and relationship development.
  • Identify organizations and decision-makers who can benefit from UWorld's Accounting & Finance solutions.
  • Research prospects, develop account strategies, and create opportunities from initial contact through close.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentations, negotiations, contracting, closing, and account expansion.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas, revenue goals, and performance objectives.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, activity, and account information in Salesforce.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers including CPA firm partners and managing directors, campus recruiting and talent acquisition leaders, HR and Learning & Development leaders, firm administrators, accounting and finance department leaders, university deans, department chairs, faculty, and administrators, career services and employer relations professionals, corporate talent development leaders, professional association executives, and accounting and finance professionals.
  • Serve as a consultative resource, understanding organizational needs and identifying how UWorld can support them.
  • Prospect into new accounts and organizations.
  • Develop creative strategies for reaching difficult-to-access decision-makers.
  • Generate meetings through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, events, and industry relationships.
  • Build relationships where UWorld does not currently have an established presence.
  • Turn initial conversations into qualified opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand UWorld's footprint within existing accounts.
  • Develop referral and relationship networks throughout the territory.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand organizational needs and goals.
  • Develop customized sales strategies and solutions for each prospect.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, webinars, lunch-and-learns, and educational sessions.
  • Present to individual decision-makers as well as complex buying groups.
  • Negotiate agreements and close new business.
  • Develop account plans designed to increase adoption, retention, and revenue.
  • Position UWorld as a strategic partner rather than simply a product vendor.
  • Attend and represent UWorld at university events, Meet the Firms events, accounting conferences, professional association meetings, and industry programs.
  • Develop relationships with accounting and finance professionals throughout the territory.
  • Participate in customer events, webinars, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the accounting education and professional certification landscape.
  • Stay informed about CPA Exam changes, CPA Evolution, professional certification trends, competitive products, and developments within the accounting and finance industry.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to UWorld's leadership, marketing, product, and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with UWorld's University B2B Sales team to identify and develop opportunities at universities throughout the Northeast.
  • Build relationships with accounting programs, business schools, faculty, career centers, and university administrators.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and other internal teams to support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Share competitive intelligence, market trends, customer feedback, and new business opportunities.
  • Help develop creative programs and partnerships that expand UWorld's presence within the accounting and finance education market.
