About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Des Moines, IA territory, focusing on community college partnerships. This role involves driving awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business, building high-impact partnerships, and providing exceptional counseling to prospective students. The position requires independent work, critical thinking, and guiding students through the admissions process for a successful online learning experience. GCE is a growing educational service company that supports post-secondary education institutions and works closely with Grand Canyon University (GCU) to benefit students and the community.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
• Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities, even while traveling.
• Clear communication skills (in person, writing, and phone) and well-developed listening skills.
• Self-motivation and drive to succeed; volunteering for new challenges.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of online academic programs and drive inquiry generation.
• Shaping high impact partnerships for your territory and executing daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails.
• Providing exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners through various mediums (in-person, phone, email).
• Championing the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
• Using out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process.
• Guiding students on the right path towards a successful online learning experience.
