About The Position

Founded in 2012, we’re revolutionizing the real estate industry with our end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to seller and buyer clients. This is a fully onsite role reporting into our office in Fort Worth, TX. You will spend a significant portion of your time meeting clients and prospects in the field. While administrative and team collaboration tasks will take place at our office, your primary focus will be building relationships and driving revenue through in-person interactions. Our Strategic Growth team is the face of the company and the engine of our market expansion. As an Account Executive, also known as a "Strategic Growth Manager", you are directly responsible for driving net-new revenue. The role involves bringing top producing agents to Compass by effectively selling the Compass value proposition (technology, marketing, culture and growth) and influencing them to leave their current brokerage and join Compass. Since every agent is an independent contractor, they can choose where they receive the best value and support. This is a quota carrying role, with the quota metric'd by the number of principal agents successfully brought to Compass, based on their prior 12 months performance. The deal size ranges from $200k - $3M+, with an average time to close of about 30 days. This is a humanized sale, dealing directly with decision-makers (agents as CEOs of their own business), which requires a heightened degree of empathy, patience, listening, agility, and ultimate focus to successfully decouple agents from long-standing brokerage affiliations. The role demands both high IQ and EQ, attracting a high-performing and driven team from diverse backgrounds such as investment banking, management consulting, law, and enterprise sales.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, glass-half-full mentality
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively lead client meetings and presentations
  • Highly organized; ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-demanding functional responsibilities
