About The Position

Responsible for prospecting and running Genius Point of Sale presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle. As a Software Relationship Manager (SRM) you will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director. Activities include explaining our value proposition and demonstrating our cloud based Point of Sale solution, upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • This position requires regular short distance travel to visit client sites
  • Live in area relative to job posting location
  • Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
  • High school diploma/GED
  • At least two years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Close sales of our business solutions with merchants throughout the area.
  • Work closely with your local District Manager to set appointments with business owners in person via your network and referral partnerships that you build.
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses.
  • Explain our value proposition and demonstrate our cloud based Point of Sale solution.
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager.
  • Responsible for prospecting new clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records, in accordance with company policies, to include call notes, scheduled client interactions, contact information, and other relevant client information, in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; currently Atlas.
  • Responsible for achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first time appointments, to secure quota.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio as well as changes and developments within the financial technology industry, to remain up-to-date.
  • Attend weekly team meeting and weekly one-on-one with leader.
