About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the St. Louis, MO territory. This is a unique community-based opportunity within the University Development Counselor role for the Grand Canyon University Online Division. The role focuses on helping non-traditional Grand Canyon University students succeed by providing them with quality education. The Account Executive will play an integral role in guiding students from application through the completion of their first few classes. GCE is a rapidly growing educational service company that supports the post-secondary education sector and works closely with Grand Canyon University (GCU).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities, even while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts to anyone, comfort in communicating in person, in writing, and on the phone, and well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to volunteer for new challenges and take ownership.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience working with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business, and drive inquiry generation.
  • Shaping high-impact partnerships for your territory and executing daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Providing exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners through various mediums (in-person, phone, email), championing the GCE mission and promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Working independently to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful online learning experience using out-of-the-box critical thinking skills.
