Perry Weather is the weather safety standard for organizations that operate outdoors. We combine on-site weather hardware with a software platform that automates alerts, siren activations, and safety decisions for more than 3,000 organizations — from the PGA of America, the NFL, and MLB to Turner Construction, thousands of school districts, cities, and golf courses. We've grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years, and are continuing to grow. We're headquartered in Dallas at The Centrum, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, where our teams work together every day to help organizations make faster and safer decisions when weather puts people, assets, and operations at risk. About the Role We're hiring an Account Executive to own new bookings across our education and local government markets. These are Perry Weather's most established verticals, with 2,000+ customers across 45+ states, partnerships with 20+ state high school athletic associations, and strong regulatory tailwinds driving demand. The brand awareness and product-market fit are already there. We need someone who can execute.
Requirements
- 3+ years of closing experience in a hunter role
- Experience selling into SLED markets
- Proven ability to manage a pipeline and close deals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a competitive drive and resilience
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle sales across K-12, higher education, and local government accounts
- Build and manage a pipeline through strategic prospecting and outbound activity
- Develop champions who can navigate internal approvals, board decisions, and committee-based procurement
- Align proposals to budget cycles and fiscal year timelines common in public sector buying
- Help customers identify grants and funding pathways to accelerate purchases
- Sell on value, connecting Perry Weather to faster decisions, reduced liability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency
