About The Position

This is an account management position focused on the State of Washington. You will play a pivotal role in the sales process and position a large portfolio of technology products and services. You will help advance Public Sector Sales and make our customers lives better and easier by effectively selling across all levels and you will deliver large strategic wins using a go to market sales model driving business relevant/customer value selling and exceeding goals. You will drive sales achievement focusing on account and resource planning and allocation to drive sales attainment numbers. You will accurately forecast your monthly, quarterly and annual revenue streams; driving growth. You will analyze your customers' financials to understand their needs assessing consumption models needs per customer while driving business planning and goal attainment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven success in direct sales, with a strong focus on account management and strategic client partnership development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining executive-level relationships across multiple-named accounts.
  • Ability to provide strategic insight into Services-led go-to-market models and effectively align solutions to support your clients’ customer strategies.
  • Must reside in the Seattle or Olympia areas and must be in Olympia weekly.

  • Proven expertise in core account management, including rigorous annual account planning, accurate weekly forecasting, consistent quota over-achievement, and strategic short- to long-term opportunity management.
  • Deep experience selling networking, data center, collaboration, and software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Product Engineering to develop and position integrated, turnkey solutions that align with customer business outcomes and clearly communicate the Cisco value proposition.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues collaboratively using a Win-Win philosophy.
  • Adept at navigating both traditional IT hierarchies and non-IT business units to influence stakeholders and align Cisco solutions with customer service delivery models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional and virtual teams as part of an extended account strategy.
  • Possess the executive presence required to engage senior decision-makers, navigate complex organizational dynamics, and successfully manage enterprise buying cycles.

  • Effectively facilitating joint initiatives with cross-functional teams (Services, Customer Value Acceleration team, Capital, Partners, etc.) and strategically engaging cross functional resources to achieve their goals and hit their numbers.
  • Building strong customer relationships inside and outside of IT that challenge them to see their business differently.
  • Focusing on collaboration and contributing to the long-term success of US Public Sector and Cisco through the sharing of standard methodologies and becoming engaged in mentorship activities.
