Account Executive - Online Military Division - Grand Canyon University
About The Position
Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Shreveport/Barksdale and surrounding territory. This is a unique community-based role focused on helping Grand Canyon University students succeed by promoting their online academic programs. The position involves identifying and implementing strategies to build awareness, drive inquiry generation, and shape high-impact partnerships. The Account Executive will provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners throughout the enrollment journey, utilizing informational presentations, calls, and emails. This role requires working independently, employing critical thinking skills to guide students through the admissions process and towards a successful online learning experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- Clear communication skills (in person, written, and phone).
- Well-developed listening skills.
- Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to use personal vehicle for work.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Relevant industry related professional experience (enrollment, recruiting, counseling).
- Experience working with CRM tools.
Responsibilities
- Consistently identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your territory.
- Building awareness of online academic programs for education, healthcare, and business.
- Driving inquiry generation.
- Shaping high impact partnerships for your territory.
- Executing daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
- Providing exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners on their journey to enrollment.
- Championing the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
- Supporting prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process.
- Guiding students on the right path towards a successful online learning experience.
