About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Rio Grande Valley, TX territory in a unique military community-based opportunity. This role involves helping Grand Canyon University students succeed by providing them with the roadmap for success from application through to completion of their initial classes. The position offers a starting salary of $75,000 per year with the potential for a six-figure income after five years. New hire training will be conducted in-person at the Phoenix, AZ campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities, even while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills, including in-person, written, and phone communication, with well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to volunteer for new challenges and take ownership.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to demonstrate empathy when coaching diverse students and nurturing partner relationships.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule, including potential evening and/or weekend availability.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Relevant industry-related professional experience (enrollment, recruiting, counseling).
  • Experience working with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business, and drive inquiry generation.
  • Shape high-impact partnerships for your territory and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners on their enrollment journey through various mediums.
  • Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Work independently using out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful online learning experience.
  • Manage and execute territory plans, build awareness of online academic programs, and drive inquiry generation.
  • Conduct informational presentations, calls, and emails to prospective students and partners.
  • Provide counseling and support to prospective students and their families throughout the enrollment process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure student success and institutional growth.
