About The Position

Banyan Software is seeking a driven and resilient Account Executive to join their growing sales team. This is a full-cycle sales role where the individual will own the entire sales process from prospecting through to close. The role operates in a lean, high-accountability environment where success is driven by proactive pipeline generation, disciplined execution, and the ability to navigate high-volume outreach and rejection. While coaching and support will be provided, the expectation is that the individual will operate with a high degree of independence. This role reports directly to sales leadership and works cross-functionally with customer success and account management teams to drive both net-new revenue and expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience with full-cycle ownership (prospecting through close)
  • Proven ability to generate your own pipeline through outbound efforts in a low-support environment
  • Strong resilience and ability to handle high rejection rates with persistence and consistency
  • Highly organized with a structured approach to managing multiple deals and prioritizing pipeline
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong communication, discovery, and consultative selling skills
  • Comfortable operating in a smaller, fast-paced organization with limited support infrastructure

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into higher education or municipal environments
  • Familiarity with workforce management, scheduling, or HR technology

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close across higher education and municipal markets
  • Proactively generate pipeline through cold outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) rather than relying solely on inbound leads
  • Re-engage and convert existing leads within HubSpot that have not yet been fully pursued
  • Follow up on and convert leads generated from industry conferences and events
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Account Management teams to identify and close expansion opportunities within existing customers
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and CRM hygiene within HubSpot
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations to operational leaders and decision-makers
  • Prioritize opportunities effectively across new business and expansion based on deal quality and urgency
  • Represent SubItUp at relevant conferences and industry events
