About The Position

Kpler is investing in dedicated new-logo sales capacity in the Metals & Agriculture vertical. This Account Executive will focus exclusively on acquiring new customers in the sector and carry a 100% new-business quota. Performance is measured entirely by net-new logos and net-new revenue, with no renewal or expansion credit. The role builds a pipeline from the ground up by mapping target accounts and prospecting metals producers, traders, agricultural merchandisers, and analytics teams. The Account Executive owns the complete new-business sales cycle, from initial outreach through discovery, demonstrations, business-case development, negotiation, and signature. The position also represents Kpler in the North American market, works cross-functionally to refine positioning and support onboarding handoffs, and maintains disciplined CRM forecasting and reporting. The role is based in, or requires willingness to relocate to, Miami, New York City, or Houston, with travel across North America. Success includes establishing a target-account list and territory map within the first 30–60 days, building qualified pipeline sufficient to cover quota within the first 90 days, achieving consistent net-new bookings, and developing a repeatable outbound playbook for the segment.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle, new-business sales role.
  • Demonstrated track record of hunting and generating pipeline, including consistently self-sourcing a significant share of closed opportunities rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or an existing book.
  • Experience selling into metals, mining, agriculture, commodities, or trading markets, or a closely adjacent field such as financial data, market intelligence, trade-flow, supply-chain, or risk-analytics platforms.
  • Ability to independently manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Strong consultative selling and communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders across trading, risk, commercial, and analytics functions.
  • A builder's mindset and enthusiasm for creating a territory and playbook from scratch.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Miami, New York City, or Houston, and able to travel across North America.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling SaaS, data/analytics, or market-intelligence products.
  • Existing relationships with trading, commercial, or risk teams at North American metals or agricultural companies.
  • Familiarity with Kpler or comparable commodity, trade-flow, or maritime data platforms, including AIS, freight, storage, or trade-flow data.
  • Experience selling into base metals, precious metals, mining, grains, oilseeds, softs, or maritime-adjacent markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a territory plan and 100% new-business pipeline generation for net-new customer acquisition across North American Metals & Agriculture producers, traders, processors, and merchandisers.
  • Self-source most pipeline through prospecting, outbound campaigns, account mapping, and prioritization of target accounts and buying committees.
  • Run the full sales cycle for new-logo opportunities, including discovery, demonstrations, business-case building, negotiation, and closing.
  • Multi-thread target accounts by engaging trading, supply and logistics, risk, analytics, commercial, and competitive-intelligence stakeholders; understand their workflows and tailor the Kpler and Maritime product pitch.
  • Represent Kpler at industry events and conferences and build a professional network across the North American metals and agriculture trading community.
  • Partner with Product, Sales Engineering, Market Analysts, and Customer Success to refine positioning and win themes and hand off newly closed accounts for onboarding.
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting and reporting by recording every new-logo opportunity in the CRM with accurate stages, next steps, and close dates.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly net-new logo bookings quota.
