Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, health, or a related discipline OR licensed as a medical professional
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, public relations, or a clinical practice
  • Ability to effectively communicate with families, visitors, patients, and physicians as well as healthcare facilities and offices
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Represent the agency to physicians, hospitals, public health agencies, nurse associations, and medical societies.
  • Conduct ongoing meetings with physicians, discharge planners, social workers, the community at large, senior ministries, and other healthcare professionals to monitor quality assurance issues.
  • Provide education on topics such as agency services and Medicare guidelines, tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Research, design, and implement new programs and protocols to improve client services, communication, and address concerns.
  • Participate in community education functions, including public speaking to civic and church groups, to provide information on Medicare-funded home health services.
  • Manage monthly budgets and obtain management approval for any expenses exceeding the set budget.
  • Make calls to various people and organizations to raise public awareness and educate about the agency.
  • Submit a weekly Community Education Pre-Plan each Monday.
  • Submit a Quarterly Action Plan and Prospect List two weeks prior to the upcoming quarter.
  • Serve on at least two agency committees per year.
  • Assist around the office and with new hire orientation when needed.
