About The Position

The Account Executive – Indirect Lending supports the success of 7 17 Credit Union’s indirect lending program by building and maintaining strong business relationships with automobile dealerships within an assigned territory. This role focuses on driving loan growth, ensuring quality service, and protecting the Credit Union’s interests while serving as a trusted partner to dealers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or lending, preferably in auto sales or dealer finance & insurance
  • Proven record of success in a performance-driven environment
  • Strong customer service mindset and relationship-building skills
  • Professional presence with sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation required
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of member information and Credit Union business.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and arms
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with auto dealerships through regular in-person visits
  • Generate loan volume aligned with Credit Union goals
  • Recruit, evaluate, and onboard new dealer partners
  • Ensure dealers have proper tools, contracts, systems, and materials to conduct business
  • Train dealerships on loan products, services, and program updates
  • Resolve dealer-related issues including documentation, lien placement, reserve disputes, and servicing concerns
  • Monitor dealer performance and address compliance or quality issues; recommend removal from the program when necessary
  • Participate in monthly indirect lending reviews and provide feedback on portfolio performance and profitability
  • Address and resolve fraudulent loan situations, including oversight of the buyback process
  • Represent the Credit Union in community and industry activities to increase visibility and business opportunities
  • Provide guidance and direction to support staff related to indirect lending activities
