Account Executive- Indies (NYC/NJ)
About The Position
Perion works with some of the world's most recognized brands and publishers, running campaigns across search, social, display, video, and CTV. Independent agencies in New York and New Jersey represent a significant and underleveraged opportunity, and we're hiring someone to own it. This role is for a seller who knows the indie agency landscape, has existing relationships, and can build a territory from a strong foundation rather than a blank page. Based in the NYC metro area, you'll develop and manage a portfolio of independent agency partners, drive revenue growth, and position Perion's full suite of digital advertising solutions across the accounts that matter most.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in the advertising industry, with a focus on digital, CTV, or programmatic sales
- Previous experience owning a territory and managing relationships with independent advertising agencies in the New York market
- Deep understanding of the AdTech landscape, including CTV, mobile, programmatic, and branded content
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding individual sales quotas in a competitive market
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to present confidently to senior agency stakeholders
- Based in the NYC metro area, with a willingness to travel as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with or selling AI-driven campaign optimization or measurement solutions
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or equivalent qualification frameworks
- Existing relationships within the New York and New Jersey independent agency ecosystem
Responsibilities
- Own and execute a strategic territory plan across independent agencies in New York and New Jersey, with clear revenue targets and a disciplined approach to pipeline management
- Build and maintain senior relationships at independent agencies, positioning Perion's capabilities across CTV, display, video, mobile, and programmatic to drive partnerships that grow over time
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal through negotiation and close, collaborating with Sales Planning on RFP responses and ensuring proposals are compelling and strategically grounded
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the indie agency market while managing and expanding existing accounts to maximize client investment
- Partner with Client Services to monitor campaign performance, surface optimization opportunities, and communicate results back to agency partners in a way that reinforces Perion's value
- Provide regular pipeline updates and market intelligence to leadership, contributing competitive insights that inform go-to-market strategy
