About the role As an Account Executive II you will: Develop net new business relationships through inbound leads, outbound prospecting, and strategic account outreach. Drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts by increasing adoption of ReadyAPI across engineering, QA, and DevOps organizations. Consult with customers on API testing strategies, automation initiatives, and digital transformation efforts to position SmartBear solutions effectively. Manage a mix of transactional and enterprise sales opportunities across a defined territory. Build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders, managers, and executive decision-makers. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to drive customer success and revenue growth. Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce and related sales tools. Receive ongoing enablement, coaching, and professional development to accelerate career growth and long-term sales success.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of software sales experience, preferably selling into technical organizations or developer-focused environments.
  • Experience carrying a quota and consistently achieving KPIs or revenue targets.
  • Strong communication, discovery, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • A self-starter mindset with strong accountability and time management skills.
  • Interest in API technologies, software testing, DevOps, or developer tooling.
  • Experience using sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Outreach, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
