About The Position

Due to the exciting growth of our business, BODEN, an award-winning, independent communications powerhouse, is seeking an Account Executive, Health & Wellness to join our team. Account Executives (AE) develop pitch and story ideas and secure media placements by leading proactive media relations initiatives and maintaining ongoing relationships with the media. The AE provides high-quality client service and produces results-driven deliverables. Additionally, the Account Executive acts as project manager ensuring deadline and project budget adherence, manages day-to-day account administration, collects, tracks and reports client results, and supports new business initiatives. AEs also guide and support junior team members.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience in public relations/communications or related field
  • Experience securing consistent and quality media placements and results
  • Polished communication (written and verbal) skills - both in English and in Spanish
  • Analytical skills as it applies to research and reporting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills, speaks concisely; can answer questions with great confidence
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to complete activities within assigned deadlines and budget
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day support to client projects, producing results-driven client deliverables
  • Delivers creative and top-notch communications by researching and understanding industry topics, issues or news related to the account
  • Manages client tactics and activations
  • Assists with drafting strategies, POV, and recommendations for supervisors to review, and secures ongoing results
  • Acts as a project manager for client events, activations, campaigns, etc.
  • Builds strong rapport with agency partners and vendors
  • Assists in client administrative duties such as account reports, billing, vendor relations, etc.
  • Maintains and continues to build strong relationships with media and influencers
  • Works on proactive media relations for story development that generates media coverage and handles media inquiries for clients
  • Identifies, develops, and writes strong pitch ideas; secures consistent and quality media placements with active pitching
  • Assists in the development of key messages, drafting rapid-response documents, and provides on-site support at press briefings
  • Closely monitors and analyzes media coverage, the online environment, and public opinion
  • Assists in the development of strategic social and digital plans
  • Identifies digital partnership opportunities, researches influencers that align with client’s brands and develops partnerships
  • Supports award submission processes including research, materials gathering, drafting, and editing of submissions.
  • Contributes to the development of strategic communications plans and actively participates in brainstorming sessions
  • Assists in research and preparation of new business proposals
  • Actively participates in new business brainstorming sessions
  • Manages multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadline and budget adherence
  • Assists in guiding and coaching Account Coordinators, interns, and trainees
