Account Executive, Data Partnerships
About The Position
Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI. We design and operate global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI labs and robotics companies to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems. We work closely with frontier robotics teams to bridge real-world data, simulation, learning-based systems, and deployed hardware. We're hiring an Account Executive to turn qualified business opportunities into productive Mecka data partnerships. Reporting to the Data Partnerships Lead, you will own discovery, proposals, negotiation, closing, and commercial follow-through to first accepted delivery, while working with GTM Associates / SDRs and sourcing strategic opportunities yourself. This is an individual-contributor role acquiring business-data partnerships, not selling datasets or managing SDRs.
Requirements
- Personally negotiated and closed B2B deals or partnerships, including self-sourced opportunities.
- Strong discovery and commercial judgment: can qualify a business, build a partnership case, and navigate multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort with non-standard commercial terms and the judgment to involve Legal or technical specialists when needed.
- Disciplined pipeline ownership, accurate forecasting, and the ability to build trust with senior operators and technical decision-makers.
- Based in New York or willing to relocate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with licensing, data partnerships, sensitive digital assets, or engineering and manufacturing businesses.
- Early-stage experience closing deals without a mature playbook and staying involved after signature to support delivery.
Responsibilities
- Qualify useful, deliverable opportunities through deep discovery into a business's data, priorities, decision-makers, and reasons to partner.
- Build alignment across business, technical, and legal stakeholders; coordinate data samples and feasibility reviews while surfacing ownership, confidentiality, access, and delivery questions early.
- Develop proposals with a clear partnership case, defined scope, deliverables, economics, and responsibilities.
- Negotiate commercial terms within approved limits and drive opportunities through required specialist reviews, approvals, and signed agreements.
- Give Operations clear onboarding plans and remain the commercial point of contact through first accepted delivery, resolving partner-side blockers while specialists own implementation and data acceptance.
- Own an opportunity portfolio and source strategic accounts independently; provide useful feedback on SDR handoffs and keep CRM stages, risks, next steps, and forecasts accurate.
- Build trusted partner relationships and identify repeat-delivery or expansion opportunities with the Lead, sharing deal patterns and win/loss learning to improve the closing playbook.
