About The Position

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving new and existing business, achieving aggressive sales and profitability goals, and developing long-term strategic client partnerships. This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and needs discovery through proposal development, closing, and post-sale account management. The Senior Account Executive serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and is trusted to identify enterprise-level opportunities, uncover complex client needs, and design high-value AV/IT solutions that align with technical, operational, and budget requirements. This role partners closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience before, during, and after the sale.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in AV/IT, technology integration, or a related industry
  • Proven success managing enterprise or complex sales cycles
  • Established industry relationships and business development track record
  • Strong understanding of AV/IT systems, solutions, and integration environments
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, and a sales territory
  • Comfort operating in client-facing environments including executive and enterprise settings
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight travel as needed
  • Ability to sustain activity levels including meetings, site visits, and extended periods of focus

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle sales activities including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing new and existing business
  • Develop and manage a territory business plan aligned to revenue and profitability objectives
  • Identify enterprise-level and complex client needs and translate them into accurate scopes of work and technology solutions
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact before, during, and after the sale, building long-term partnerships
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations, including project scope, schedules, and change order discussions
  • Guide clients through planning/design, implementation, and support phases of projects

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to support successful project execution
  • Identify and qualify high-margin opportunities and growth accounts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and client documentation in CRM
  • Support resolution of client issues, including timeline, scope, and commercial concerns
  • Attend industry events, training sessions, and internal meetings as required
  • Perform other related duties in support of sales and business objectives
