About The Position

The Account Executive – Audiovisual (AV) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term client relationships across the Carolinas region, based out of our Cary, NC headquarters. This role manages the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, contract execution, and post-sale coordination. The Account Executive – Audiovisual (AV) partners closely with corporate, higher education, healthcare, and other commercial clients to understand technology needs, budget constraints, and project goals. This role develops comprehensive AV/IT integration solutions and collaborates with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery and exceptional client experience.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of consultative sales experience in audiovisual (AV)/IT or related technology industry
  • Strong knowledge of AV/IT products, systems, and integration processes
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and CRM platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities and meet sales objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and territory management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in scheduling with occasional overnight travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Carolinas region
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts
  • Conduct prospecting and outreach efforts
  • Qualify leads and identify high-margin opportunities
  • Perform client needs assessments and site evaluations
  • Develop and present detailed proposals and scopes of work
  • Guide clients through planning, design, implementation, and support phases
  • Lead negotiations and close sales to meet or exceed assigned quotas
  • Manage account activity including change orders and coordination with internal teams
  • Communicate project timelines and expectations to clients
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide sales forecast updates
  • Support customer satisfaction throughout pre- and post-sale phases
