About The Position

Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to sell exhibit space and sponsorships for our ASD sales team. This is a full-cycle sales role — you will prospect for new exhibitors, close deals, and manage existing accounts to ensure retention and growth. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder and closer, skilled at matching client needs to event opportunities, and able to deliver revenue results while providing a best-in-class exhibitor experience. This position is based out of our Alpharetta, GA or New York, NY office.

Requirements

  • B2B sales experience with a strong preference for trade show or event sales.
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close and retention.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM required.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a sense of urgency and high level of accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue through new business development, upselling, and account retention across exhibit space and sponsorship products.
  • Proactively prospect for new exhibitors while managing and growing assigned accounts.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts that align with client goals and event objectives.
  • Accurately manage and forecast your sales pipeline using Salesforce, maintaining up-to-date account details and activity records.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, retention, and activity goals.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to ensure repeat participation.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging exhibitor categories.
  • Attend industry events and competitive shows as needed for business development.
