UKON•Denver, CO
•$100,000 - $130,000•Onsite

About The Position

This is a net new role for a front-line hunter on the sales team, reporting to the executive team. The primary responsibility is to open new independent insurance agency relationships and bring them into the UKON Cyber Practice. The role requires a self-directed individual who can build relationships quickly, close deals, and manage their pipeline end-to-end. Support will be provided by the SDR team for meetings and pipeline generation, but the individual is expected to source their own opportunities through daily cold outreach. The ideal candidate is high-energy, outgoing, comfortable pushing marketing for more pipeline, and may already have existing relationships with agency principals and producers.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of net new business development driven by cold outreach (not inbound leads, retention, or account management).
  • Experience in wholesale insurance or in insurtech or SaaS sales to insurance agents and agencies.
  • Existing relationships with independent insurance agencies that can be activated immediately.
  • High energy, outgoing personality, and self-direction.
  • Comfortable making cold calls, building rapport quickly, and asking for the business.
  • Experience working with marketing and an SDR team to build pipeline while also generating own pipeline.
  • Strong organization and discipline in pipeline management and follow-up.

Nice To Haves

  • A property and casualty insurance license.
  • Experience selling cyber insurance or cybersecurity services.
  • Familiarity with managed service providers or agency management systems.
  • Experience as an early sales hire at a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new independent insurance agency partnerships, running own screening calls.
  • Generate pipeline through daily cold outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn), referrals, events, and existing network.
  • Run discovery calls and present the UKON Cyber Practice to agency principals and producers.
  • Partner with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead flow, and advocate for increased pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the marketing-led SDR team on targeting, meeting handoffs, and follow-up to secure signed partnerships.
  • Ensure clean handoffs of signed agencies to implementation and Cyber Practice Leaders, remaining involved until agencies are active.
  • Maintain current pipeline and activity data in the CRM.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership regarding agency needs and competitive landscape.
