About The Position

From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nation’s leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance. Job Summary The Account Director is the principal leader responsible for all aspects of mission accomplishment in support of assigned EFS clients. The Account Director is the customer’s primary point of contact above site level. The Account Director is responsible for account governance, operational performance, financial performance, and organizational leadership consistent with our EFS culture and values. The Account Director ensures both EFS and Client objectives and goals are consistently met in a way that sustains and strengthens a long-term mutually beneficial partnership. This includes, but is not limited to, achieving/exceeding operational and financial performance objectives, cost savings, and maintaining and improving employee morale, retention, and productivity. Account Director works directly with site leads across multiple locations to ensure exemptional operational success, while working closely with customer contacts and EFS functional support leaders (Finance, HR, Procurement, Safety, Legal, IT…) to ensure long term program success. This opportunity is contingent on a finalized agreement between EFS and their client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • Seven to ten years related experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Strong computer skills are required primarily utilizing Microsoft Office Suites
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to ensure team and customer engagement across geographically dispersed locations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with operations and maintenance for Commercial and Industrial Space is preferred
  • Must have Facility Management, IFM experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, productive, and transparent client relationships to ensure retention and sustainable account growth. Conduct internal weekly operational reviews, monthly operational and financial reviews with customers, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with customer as a part of overall governance programs
  • Serve as direct supervisor to all assigned site leaders and functional support specialists. Work collaboratively to ensure positive, productive, and professional work environments that are consistent with EMCOR Values and EFS Operating Culture to maximize individual and collective team success. Interview hire and train new leaders. Manage the review process and engage in associate development
  • Manage the operations and performance in support of the assigned client. Ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and performance objectives are completed to satisfaction. Troubleshoot client issues and initiate action to ensure client satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with EFS Finance Manager and Coordinator to manage all financials; including, but not limited to budget, cost savings, customer and vendor invoicing, AR collection, and profit/loss management. Identify opportunities to expand services, including opportunities for other EMCOR companies
  • Work collaboratively with procurement to help manage subcontractors assigned to account. This includes but is not limited to contract compliance, quality service delivery, timely invoicing and payments, and overall achievement of customer objectives
  • Ensure commitment to environmental health and safety within the account by adhering to safety practices, investigating concerns, and making recommendations
  • Ensure fiduciary compliance across all accounts with adherence to proper purchasing, billing, and travel procedures. These will include processes used to purchase material and services for both company and customer. Critical to this is ensuring the organization understands the proper use of these processes so that customers are not over/under billed and company funds are not misused
