About The Position

We’re looking for an Account Director to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll serve as a senior strategic partner to clients, leading high-level relationships, shaping brand and marketing direction, and driving business growth. You’ll oversee complex accounts and multiple brands, guide and mentor account teams, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful, strategically sound work within the healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing space.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or communications with progressive account leadership responsibility
  • Experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing required, including HCP-focused work
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-brand accounts and senior client relationships
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen, including experience managing large budgets and scopes
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating independently, navigating ambiguity, and driving clarity and results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative, client-focused approach

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior lead and primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships at the highest levels of client organizations
  • Partners with clients to define and continuously prioritize brand strategy, business objectives, and marketing plans
  • Establishes and articulates a clear strategic point of view, guiding internal teams and influencing client direction
  • Leads the development and selling of strategic recommendations, creative briefs, and integrated plans
  • Oversees multiple brands and accounts, providing high-level oversight across scope, staffing, timelines, and budgets, ensuring profitability and efficiency
  • Anticipates client needs and proactively addresses challenges, ambiguity, and opportunities with confidence and clarity
  • Drives organic account growth through upselling, expanded scope, and identification of new business opportunities
  • Leads, mentors, and develops account teams, providing direction, feedback, and support while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Encourages innovative, strategic, and critical thinking across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
  • Effectively manages up, down, and across the organization to align teams and ensure best-in-class client service
