About The Position

The Account Coordinator I serves as a key point of contact for assigned customer accounts, supporting daily operational and logistics activities while ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and adherence to applicable regulations and company procedures. This role is ideal for an entry-level operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and is eager to develop within the logistics and dangerous goods industry.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, customer coordination, or administrative support
  • High school diploma or GED (accredited) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Strong data entry and documentation experience, with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to successfully complete IATA and IMDG training within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within custom packing, crating, logistics, or dangerous goods–related industries preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with hazardous materials or regulated environments preferred.
  • Basic knowledge or exposure to applicable regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG, or other federal/state guidelines) preferred.
  • Experience with C2C & BC software or similar operating systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing timely communication, accurate updates, and high-quality service.
  • Respond to customer phone calls and emails within established service-level expectations (within two hours), maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams via phone, email, in person, or during facility visits.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipment and planning documentation (import and export), including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Track shipments and proactively identify and escalate delays or disruptions while keeping customers informed.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date operational and logistics records in C2C and BC system.
  • Conduct freight audits and prepare bill-pay documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with job breakdowns, work instructions, SOPs, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Coordinators and cross-functional teams to support daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
