About The Position

SSI is seeking a full-time Account Based Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team with the SSI Corporate location in Victoria, BC. This role is key to achieving Marketing goals by ensuring we are communicating with the right audience in the best way at the best time. The successful candidate will be responsible for supports SSI’s bottom-line by combining inbound lead qualification, account-based marketing support, and compiling client and prospect insights. Expect a role that works closely with our Sales channel to ensure high fit prospects receive relevant, timely, and personalized outreach throughout the funnel. We value flexibility and the successful candidate will have the option to work in office, hybrid or fully remotely. However, if the option is to work remotely, you will need an 8-hour workday that overlaps Mon–Fri, 9 AM–2 PM Pacific Time to attend stand-ups and sprint reviews with the core marketing team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, account based marketing, or related roles.
  • Experience qualifying inbound leads and supporting lead handoff processes between Marketing and Sales.
  • Experience building or supporting account based marketing campaigns and segmented nurture programs.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with audience segmentation, email marketing, campaign workflows, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills.
  • The successful candidate must be either be a Canadian Citizen or hold a valid Canadian Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads based on fit, interest, engagement, and readiness for sales follow up.
  • Review, score, route, and track inbound inquiries to ensure timely follow up and strong lead management processes.
  • Conduct account research to identify company background, decision makers, business needs, buying signals, and engagement history.
  • Support precision engagement efforts by helping deliver personalized outreach and relevant messaging to target accounts and contacts.
  • Create and support account based marketing campaigns for high value accounts, strategic segments, and priority opportunities.
  • Build and execute recurring programs for each stage of the buyer’s journey, including awareness, consideration, selection, onboarding, and retention.
  • Develop and manage nurture campaigns, email sequences, and follow up workflows.
  • Identify trends in good fit customers, including firmographics, geography, industry, engagement patterns, and content consumption.
  • Analyze lead and account activity to identify patterns and campaign performance.
  • Partner with Sales to align qualification standards.
  • Maintain CRM data quality, lead records, segmentation rules, and lifecycle stage accuracy.
  • Assist with campaign execution.
  • Monitor lead flow and engagement performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure account priorities.
  • Track and report on inbound lead quality.
  • Stay current on best practices in account based marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM management, and buyer journey marketing.
