About The Position

As an Account Associate, you will play a key role in building strong member relationships and supporting the financial success of our business members. This role blends relationship management, lending expertise, and risk oversight, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a College Diploma with a focus in Business/Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Relationship Management: Possesses strong judgment and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, partners and members.
  • Financial Acumen: Fundamental understanding of financial statements and their implications.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates a proactive approach to change, remaining flexible and positive while readily adjusting to new circumstances and effectively managing shifting priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • This role may require travel to meet members at their place of business and between branch locations.
  • Candidates must be bondable under a fidelity bond policy (includes a criminal and credit check).

Responsibilities

  • Build Trusted Relationships: Deliver exceptional service and create positive, lasting member experiences.
  • Meet with new and existing members to understand their needs and recommend tailored financial solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through lending, deposits, and complementary business services.
  • Resolve member concerns professionally and proactively.
  • Support Lending & Portfolio Management: Evaluate and process credit applications within established lending authority.
  • Present financing proposals, coordinate loan documentation, and manage closings with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage an assigned loan portfolio, including credit reviews, renewals, overdrafts, and delinquency follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and risk management standards.
  • Contribute to a Collaborative Culture: Partner with colleagues across the organization to support member needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Support community initiatives and represent the Credit Union with professionalism.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
