Provides musical accompaniment to other musicians and to singers. Boys Town has been changing the way America cares for children and families since 1917. Requirements

  • Previous accompanist experience required.
  • Ability to read and play traditional and contemporary music for a variety of conductors and soloists.
  • Knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accompanies music for practices and performances.
  • Plays an instrument to accompany new and traditional vocal and instrumental music.
  • Consults with teachers and conductors to choose appropriate music.
  • Participates in music rehearsals and performances.
