About The Position

Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. (Acclaim) is a multi-specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioners: Valid APRN and FNP license in the state of TX or successful completion of FNP boards by June 30, 2024
  • For Nurse Practitioners: No previous APRN practice experience
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Basic Life Support Certification
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Valid and unencumbered Texas RN licensure
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse
  • For Nurse Practitioners: If a current JPS Health Network Employee, must not be under any disciplinary action or on a performance improvement plan.
  • For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program by May 31 of the program year
  • For Physician Assistants: Current Physician Assistant (P.A.) licensure to practice in the state of Texas by June 30 of the program year
  • For Physician Assistants: No previous APP practice experience
  • For Physician Assistants: BLS – Basic Life Support Certification
  • For Physician Assistants: NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) upon hire is preferred
  • For Physician Assistants: If a current JPS Health Network Employee, must not be under any disciplinary action or on a performance improvement plan.
  • CV/Resume with professional work history (RN experience as applicable), education, and all FNP/PA clinical rotations.
  • Work history must include dates (month and year), status (full time, part time, etc) and unit or clinic details (ICU Med-Surg, CHC, etc.)
  • Clinical Rotations must include the Location, Dates, # of hours completed, and your preceptors name and title.
  • A cover letter addressed to “APP Residency Director” addressing specific topics.
  • Official or unofficial transcript that reflects the degree awarded from an accredited Master of Science in Nursing degree program or Master of Science degree equivalent for PAs.
  • A Word document with a minimum of three (3) references, including their name, location and email address.
  • Clinical Preceptors (2 responses required)
  • For FNPs, current Nursing Supervisor (1 response required). For PAs, or if not currently working, the most recent supervisor will be accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) upon hire is preferred

Responsibilities

  • The fellowship aims to develop skills for successful completion of the residency program and ongoing practice as an APP at Acclaim.
  • The program focuses on increasing mastery and competence in specific areas identified by the applicant.
