Requirements

  • Possession of a valid state-issued unrestricted driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English is required.
  • Mechanical experience and/or aptitude are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including four 10-hour shifts, is required; specific days will be determined based on operational needs.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts as needed is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor level to chest height, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and maintaining the appearance of aircraft cabin interiors.
  • Performing component replacement and maintenance on appearance-related items in accordance with manufacturer maintenance manuals, the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Department, with a continued emphasis on flight safety.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Maintain the assigned shop work area in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
  • Ensure tools and support equipment are kept clean, safe, and operational at all times.
  • Wear required eye and hearing protection as necessary when using tools or operating machinery to ensure personal safety.
  • Be available to work any assigned shift and overtime as needed.
