This role includes performing component replacements and maintenance on appearance-related items in accordance with manufacturer maintenance manuals, the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Department, with a continued emphasis on flight safety. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Maintain the assigned shop work area in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition Ensure tools and support equipment are kept clean, safe, and operational at all times Wear required eye and hearing protection as necessary when using tools or operating machinery to ensure personal safety Be available to work any assigned shift and overtime as needed
Requirements
- Possession of a valid, state-issued, unrestricted driver’s license is required
- Ability to read, write, and understand English is required
- Mechanical experience and/or aptitude is required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including four 10-hour shifts, is required; specific days will be determined based on operational needs
- Availability to work weekend shifts, as needed is required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor level to chest height, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required
- Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
