About The Position

PLNU is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Accessibility Coordinator to join our Educational Access Center (EAC) team. This role is key in providing seamless administrative support and enhancing accessibility services. The Accessibility Coordinator will provide administrative support to the EAC managers, serve as the first point of contact for the EAC, train and assist in supervising student workers, assist students in using assistive technology, scan and manage official disability-related documents, schedule exams and meetings, coordinate mobility support services, manage office supplies and budget, maintain statistics, and represent EAC at events.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment (higher education setting preferred)
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with standard office equipment
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Typing and keyboarding proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement.
  • Willingness to adapt and travel between campus locations as needed
  • Commitment to supporting PLNU’s mission and values in every aspect of the role
  • Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record for the duration of your employment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the EAC managers
  • Serving as the first point of contact—responsible for answering EAC phone & email, walk-in inquiries, and directing communication to the appropriate personnel
  • Training student workers (receptionists and scribes) and assisting with their supervision of the office
  • Assisting students in using assistive technology
  • Scanning and managing official disability-related documents in a confidential system
  • Scheduling exams, proctor spaces, and meetings for the EAC team and students
  • Coordinating mobility support services such as cart rides for students with accessibility needs
  • Managing office supplies, processing budget transfers, and monitoring expenditures
  • Maintaining statistics on student visits and program use for reporting purposes
  • Representing EAC at events like Welcome Week and attending relevant university meetings and gatherings
