About The Position

To support patients within the assigned Outpatient Care Center (Infusion & Lab or Radiation Oncology) by providing a variety of services such as registration, preregistration, scheduling, admitting, database management, information processing, patient/department support, referrals to Patient Financial Advocates, verifying authorizations, verifying medical necessity, and verifying consents. He/she works in conjunction with other health care professionals to evaluate and address the needs of patients served to ensure timely access to services needed and coordinate care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two to five years of related experience required.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven ability to calculate, use of Excel spreadsheets and Word processing is required.
Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable operating system, procedures, policies and tasks.
Comprehensive written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous behavior.

Nice To Haves

Completion of formal business/medical training preferred.
Completion of BA training program required.
