The Access & Outreach Specialist SE position is a full-time, benefits-eligible role within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle - National Service Line: Neuroscience department. The specialist will work Monday-Friday, 0745-1615, for 40 hours per week. Key responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound telephone calls, scheduling various types of appointments for clinicians, communicating instructions to patients, managing appointment cancellations and reschedules, processing requests for refills, labs, and test results, assisting with patient message callbacks and prescription refill questions, organizing patient paperwork, and facilitating referrals for specialist appointments, procedures, or tests. The role requires long periods of sitting, computer and phone use, and some physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. The work environment is fast-paced.
