About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining security and access control within facilities. Key duties include reporting and correcting unsafe conditions, ensuring the health and safety of personnel, assisting with processing individuals into secure areas, conducting inspections for prohibited items, securing designated areas, monitoring security systems, verifying identification, and operating access control systems and screening equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Report and/or correct unsafe conditions, procedures, or activities.
Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of personnel.
Assist with processing individuals into secure facilities at various locations.
Conduct random inspections to ensure prohibited items are not introduced into facilities.
Secure designated areas in accordance with post orders and security regulations.
Monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV), intrusion detection systems, fire alarms, and dispatch personnel as necessary.
Monitor access into and out of facilities by verifying personnel identification and recognizing various government-issued credentials and badges.
Operate and maintain manual and computerized access control systems, databases, and other related equipment.
Operate walk-through metal detectors, including fixed and portable units, X-ray equipment, and other screening equipment at pedestrian control points.
Perform other duties as assigned.
