About The Position

Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking an Access Associate to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. This role supports front desk operations by greeting clients, managing appointments, handling incoming calls, and ensuring a smooth and respectful client experience. The Access Associate plays a key role in maintaining accurate client information and supporting overall clinic flow.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of customer service, administrative, or front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in clients, verify demographic and insurance information, and collect copayments and balances.
Answer and route incoming calls, providing accurate information and connecting callers with appropriate staff.
Schedule appointments and assist clients with follow-up scheduling needs.
Maintain clinician schedules and conference room calendars as needed.
Monitor and manage client flow in the waiting area to ensure timely service.
Provide courteous, professional, and timely customer service to clients, families, and staff.
Open and close the building, ensuring operational readiness and security.
Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Perform general clerical duties and support administrative functions as needed.
Complete additional duties or special projects as assigned.
