About The Position

The Accelerate Clinical Facilitator (Per Diem) – Pediatrics & Neonatal is responsible for delivering simulation-based educational programs that improve the readiness, confidence, and clinical performance of pediatric and neonatal healthcare teams. Serving as both a clinical expert and educator, this role facilitates immersive learning experiences focused on enhancing clinical competency, team communication, and patient outcomes during high-risk, low-frequency pediatric and neonatal emergencies. This is an on-demand, per diem position supporting customer engagements as business needs arise. Assignments may include onsite simulation programs, implementation support, educational consultations, and clinical training events throughout the United States and Canada. Accelerate is a comprehensive simulation-based readiness and workforce development program designed to improve clinical competency, team communication, and patient outcomes across healthcare organizations. Unlike traditional continuing education programs, Accelerate combines immersive simulation, facilitated debriefing, competency assessment, and actionable performance insights to help healthcare organizations prepare for high-risk, low-frequency clinical events. Accelerate facilitators serve as trusted clinical consultants, partnering with healthcare leaders to build sustainable cultures of safety, readiness, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Ideal candidate must reside in Arizona or Texas
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Respiratory Therapy, or another healthcare-related discipline required.
Current unrestricted clinical licensure appropriate to profession.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider or Instructor certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience in NICU, PICU, pediatric emergency care, newborn nursery, pediatric acute care, or Labor & Delivery with neonatal resuscitation responsibilities.
Demonstrated expertise managing pediatric and neonatal emergencies.
Experience educating adult learners in clinical environments.
Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage customer engagements with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada (approximately 70–100%, based on facilitator availability and customer demand). Overnight and occasional weekend travel required.
Ability to stand for extended periods while facilitating educational programs.
Ability to lift and transport simulation equipment up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or higher.
NRP Instructor status.
PALS, CPN, CCRN (Pediatric or Neonatal), RNC-NIC, CHSE, or other relevant specialty certifications.
Experience leading pediatric or neonatal simulation programs and simulation debriefings.
Experience implementing interdisciplinary education initiatives.
Experience working within children's hospitals, academic medical centers, or regional pediatric referral centers.
High-fidelity and in situ simulation.
Structured debriefing methodologies.
TeamSTEPPS or similar teamwork frameworks.
Competency-based education and adult learning principles.
Psychological safety in simulation environments.
Previous experience serving as simulation faculty, NRP instructor, pediatric educator, or simulation center staff.

Responsibilities

Facilitate simulation-based learning experiences for pediatric and neonatal healthcare teams.
Lead structured debriefings that promote reflective learning, clinical reasoning, and performance improvement.
Deliver Accelerate educational programs in accordance with established clinical and educational standards.
Adapt educational delivery to meet the unique goals and learning needs of healthcare organizations.
Serve as a trusted educational consultant to physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, educators, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
Promote evidence-based clinical practice through realistic simulation scenarios and facilitated discussion.
Evaluate learner performance and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
Foster a safe, respectful, and psychologically secure learning environment.
Partner with Accelerate operations, clinical faculty, and customer success teams to ensure successful program delivery.
Participate in ongoing faculty development, continuing education, and facilitator calibration activities.
Represent Accelerate professionally while fostering strong customer relationships and service excellence.
