About The Position

Academy Learner Specialists are responsible for evaluating learner submissions to assess competency in implementing program-specific clinical or behavioral interventions. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and integrity in how learner performance is measured across programs. In addition to conducting fidelity reviews, this role serves as a pilot participant for new and evolving programs, applying clinical expertise to test content, provide feedback on usability and clarity, and help ensure programs are effective, scalable, and aligned with real-world practice.

Requirements

  • Advanced Clinical Training: Possession of advanced clinical knowledge and training equivalent to that of master's-level clinicians, graduate students working toward licensure, or licensed professionals (e.g., in psychology, LMFT, BCBA, ABA, or behavioral health fields). This background is essential to understand the interventions, concepts, and skills being demonstrated in assignments.
  • Certification: Active certificate holder in the specific Catalight Academy program(s) being reviewed, OR ability to complete this certification training during the onboarding process (provided by Catalight).
  • Evaluative Focus: Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply standardized, highly structured criteria consistently and objectively without relying on independent clinical adjustments.
  • Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver professional, constructive, and clinically accurate feedback.
  • Remote Efficiency: Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to fluctuating review volumes in a fully remote environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years implementing behavioral health treatment or ABA with ASD/IDD population.
  • Minimum 1.5 years supervising the implementation of behavioral health treatment or ABA with ASD/IDD population.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
  • Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Must attend any required training.

  • Prior experience reviewing or supervising clinical work.

Responsibilities

  • Review learner submissions (e.g., recorded videos, written documentation, or other required materials) to assess competency in program implementation.
  • Evaluate submissions using standardized fidelity checklists and scoring criteria.
  • Apply subject-matter expertise to determine whether learners demonstrate mastery of required skills.
  • Execute operational processes and workflows in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide clear, objective scoring and actionable written feedback aligned with fidelity review guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency when applying scoring rubrics across all submissions.
  • Complete assigned reviews within a 1 business day turnaround time.
  • Document review outcomes in designated systems (Monday.com and LMS tools).
  • Maintain confidentiality of learner materials and evaluation outcomes.
  • Communicate with program staff regarding: Review completion, Clarification needs, Scoring discrepancies or edge cases.
  • Participate in calibration efforts to ensure alignment across reviewers (as needed).
  • Serve as a pilot participant for new programs, providing feedback on usability, clarity, and implementation expectations.
