In-Person Academic Tutors Needed – Elementary Through High School
About The Position
Tutor Doctor Michigan is recruiting knowledgeable and motivated tutors to provide personalized, in-person, one-on-one academic instruction to students throughout the Sterling Heights area. Tutors help students strengthen foundational skills, improve academic performance, and develop confidence across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. The role offers individualized academic support across multiple subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, homework assistance, organization, study skills, test preparation, and academic enrichment. Scheduling is flexible and part-time. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour for one-on-one tutoring.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of instructional subjects.
- Ability to adjust teaching strategies to students’ individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, patience, and passion for education.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a certified teacher, retired educator, college graduate, or tutor.
- Experience in a variety of subject areas.
