Part-Time Academic Tutor - All Subjects
About The Position
School is Easy Tutoring is committed to providing quality, individualized, educational programs to assist students with career, academic and personal goals. We are looking for tutors in all education subjects to assist our growing community of students looking for help with their education. Once hired, we match our tutors and students carefully together so that we maximize the experience for everyone. This matching enables us to focus on exactly the areas our students need help in. This allows the student to quickly gain more confidence to improve their confidence, grades, and overall experience in school. For the applicant, this means that depending on performance, you can gain access to more and more similar students. We need tutors in place for summer and all school year round. We do not promise tutoring assignments because it depends on the students' needs at that time.
Requirements
- Must be responsible, flexible, reliable, and have excellent communication skills.
- Must be in or completed a university degree.
- Knowledge of BC Curriculum-approved subjects
- Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English
- Great interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and creativity are essential.
- Access to transportation to provide in-home tutoring
- Willingness to submit a criminal record check (vulnerable sector).
- Tutoring Experience
Responsibilities
- Reviewing student's needs and developing a plan to help them succeed
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks
- Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
- Providing students with positive and constructive feedback
- Offering feedback on progress to students' parents where appropriate
