The Academic Technologies Application Administrator is responsible for administering and supporting a wide range of enterprise applications, constituent relationship management (CRM) platforms, and web applications within the academic technology ecosystem. This role involves managing system configurations, user access, integrations, release planning, and the overall lifecycle of these platforms. The administrator will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with vendors for support and resolution. Key responsibilities include maintaining application documentation, standards, and operational procedures. The role also encompasses administering CRM platforms like Slate and Salesforce, building and maintaining CRM data structures and automation, managing communication and engagement functionalities, and coordinating cyclical CRM preparations. Web application administration includes managing the WordPress environment, ensuring platform health and security, and configuring integrations. Additionally, the administrator will support various academic technologies such as lecture capture, web conferencing, plagiarism detection, and e-text platforms, while also maintaining integrations among these systems and with the student information system. Security, access, compliance, and accessibility are critical aspects of this role, as is coordinating system upgrades, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also serves as an advanced support and consultation resource for faculty, staff, and students, providing training and collaboration with ITS teams and academic departments.
