Requirements

  • Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of general NCAA rules, student-athletes issues and academic complexity is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Director for Academic Support with professional execution of all aspects of tracking and maintaining BAC and University databases for student-athlete academic support services.
  • Assist with coordination of the tutoring program.
  • Communicate relevant Information regarding the academic support programs to interested parties (coaches, advisors, tutors, mentors, etc.).
  • Provide general reception and clerical support for the front desk and study hall.
  • Maintain the reception and study hall area of the center including but not limited to the opening and/or closing of the Center doors, greeting student-athletes, coaches and visitors, monitoring printer paper, and keeping the area clutter free.
  • Assist BAC staff with DocuSign creation.
  • Provide clerical support for student-athlete programming including Academic Skills workshops and orientation programming; including but not limited to preparation of handouts and documents for the program, send communication emails to coaches and student-athletes, create flyers, organize attendance sheets, request room locations.
  • Maintain working knowledge and comply with all NCAA compliance, Big West Conference, Athletic Department and CSULB rules and regulations that apply to working with the NCAA student-athlete population.
