About The Position

The COE Program Manager is responsible for day-to-day operational management of the designated program area in the department/college. Program management often requires the coordination of work within the unit and/or across a number of administrative units. Although primarily a non-supervisory activity, a large and/or complex program, or one undergoing rapid growth may require that the Program Manager supervise support staff. Program Managers focus on policy implementation (they may have role in crafting policies for approval) and they perform and supervise the activities of the unit.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • PK-12 Education experience and knowledge preferred
  • Teaching experience and certification preferred
  • Two or more years’ related experience in higher education environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and work directly with College leadership to prepare documents required for approval of new and revised programs for Academic Affairs, accrediting bodies, University Program Reviews and Arizona Department of Education and other states under the guidance of and in collaboration with other College of Education (COE) Directors.
  • Manage and maintain all certificate programs and academic programs timelines as assigned by COE Directors.
  • Supports College leadership and Directors with assigned programs as needed.
  • Prepare all College Committee documents related to academic programs, organizes monthly meeting notes in collaboration with COE Leadership.
  • Assist in the development of training materials for monthly program knowledge trainings and updates for all Student Service Counselors.
  • Aide in researching programmatic trends and requirements related to program and certificate development.
  • Attend University meetings related to academic programs as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing documents required for approval of retired programs for Academic Affairs and University level processes.
  • Perform other duties and oversees projects and academic programs as assigned by the College leadership, Academic Programs and Outreach team centered on teaching, service, and leadership responsibilities.
