About The Position

The University of Minnesota Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for its emergency rooms across both campuses in Minneapolis, MN. This is a part-time (0.75 FTE) position primarily focused on clinical time in the Emergency Departments at the University of Minnesota Medical Center – East and West Bank Campuses. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, such as block shifts and varying days per week.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Emergency Medicine residency training program.
• Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
• Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff.
• Understanding and importance placed on patient care/service.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Education focused and a creative problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical time in the Emergency Departments at the University of Minnesota Medical Center – East and West Bank Campuses.
• Maintain flexibility in schedule, including block shifts and varying days per week.
• Contribute to the academic efforts of the University, as applicable to the hired individual's focus.
• Ensure excellent patient care and service.
• Collaborate effectively with partners and staff.
