About The Position

Dayton Children’s is expanding its School-Based Health program in Fairborn, Ohio, and we are looking for a passionate APP to join our growing team! This is a unique opportunity to bring high-quality pediatric healthcare directly to students in their school environment, making care more accessible while supporting the overall health, wellness, and academic success of children and adolescents.

Requirements

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are passionate about caring for children and adolescents.
For Nurse Practitioners: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
For Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
For Nurse Practitioners: Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Ohio
For Nurse Practitioners: 3–4 years of nursing experience
For Physician Assistants: Master of Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
For Physician Assistants: Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
For Physician Assistants: Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Ohio

Nice To Haves

Pediatric or ambulatory care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare
Perform physical assessments and examinations
Evaluate patients and develop diagnoses
Develop, initiate, and manage individualized plans of care and treatment
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Provide health education and guidance to students and families
Initiate appropriate consultations and referrals
Collaborate with physicians, school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
Help promote the health and well-being of students within the school community
