About The Position

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Board-Certified General Pediatrician to join their academic faculty within the Pediatric Resident Continuity Clinic. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine high-quality clinical care with medical education in a dynamic ambulatory training environment. The selected physician will serve as a clinical educator, precepting pediatric residents and medical students during continuity clinic sessions, while also maintaining an independent patient panel and providing primary care within the faculty clinic on designated days. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about academic pediatrics, mentorship, and shaping the next generation of physicians.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency program
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics (or board-eligible with certification pending)
  • Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience in medical education, resident mentorship, and academic pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents within the Pediatric Resident Continuity Clinic
  • Teach, supervise, and mentor pediatric residents and medical students during ambulatory clinic sessions
  • Maintain an independent patient panel within the faculty clinic, ensuring continuity of care on designated clinic days
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment focused on clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to support whole-child care and population health initiatives
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, scholarly activities, and resident mentorship
  • Engage in advocacy efforts that promote child health and community well-being
  • Opportunity to obtain an academic appointment with Florida State University College of Medicine, University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine
