About The Position

The Academic Mentor works one-on-one with multiple student-athletes in a structured academic setting. The role provides guided instruction in study skills, research skills, and time-management techniques, and supports student-athletes in accessing academic resources. Mentors are expected to build rapport through patience and trust, and to maintain confidentiality in all discussions. This is not a tutoring position.

Mentors complete daily reports for each mentoring session. The position reports directly to the Academic Mentor Coordinator within the Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) program. Applicants must be available for various time blocks Monday through Friday. Colorado State University may conduct background checks on final candidates.
