About The Position

As our Academic Interventionist (MTSS Teacher), you will focus your talent where it is needed most: delivering targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 small-group instruction to help students close learning gaps, master grade-level standards, and achieve long-term academic success. Year 1 Success Goals include: 70%+ of assigned students demonstrate grade-level mastery in core content. 80%+ of Tier 2 students show measurable, documented growth toward their intervention goals. Maintain strong classroom culture with minimal behavior referrals and high professional standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
Valid or eligible Florida Professional or Temporary Teaching Certification.
Reading Endorsement required.
Strong organizational, communication, and small-group management skills, with deep alignment to our core values ("And How Are the Children?", "Big Rocks First", "Own It", "Expect More", "Results Matter").

Responsibilities

Plan and lead standards-aligned, small-group intervention lessons for students performing below grade level.
Collect and analyze formative and summative data to track student growth, adjust instructional strategies, and support school MTSS team meetings.
Partner closely with classroom teachers, counselors, and families to support diverse learners (ESE, 504, ELL) and maintain a structured, positive learning environment.
Participate in targeted professional development, coaching sessions, and designated beginning- and end-of-year extended weeks to strengthen campus MTSS systems.
