The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Academic Cytopathologist. This position is available on a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The department is a subspecialized Anatomic Pathology division, and preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training and/or expertise in Cytopathology. Candidates willing to provide additional coverage in Head and Neck Pathology, Thoracic Pathology, Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, and/or other Surgical Pathology Sub-specialties are encouraged to apply. The role involves participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and effective communication with an active clinical care team that provides statewide integrated care. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, offering opportunities to collaborate with basic, translational, and clinical researchers. In addition to teaching clinical residents and fellows, there are opportunities to teach in the School of Medicine, Graduate School, and Undergraduate School.
